DeepTrust Alliance Welcomes Adam Grant to Advisory Board

I am pleased to announce that Adam Grant, Wharton professor and author of Originals,Give & Take, and Plan B, has joined DeepTrust Alliance's advisory board as a strategic advisor. Adam's contributions will help the Alliance partner with leading companies, universities, and non-governmental organizations to overcome deepfakes and the misinformation crisis.

An organizational psychologist, Adam seeks out pioneers and the innovative ways they empower their organizations to solve mission-critical problems. He focuses on the questions of meaning and motivation, both of which are under-appreciated factors contributing to the current misinformation epidemic. As in a public health crisis, a multitude of factors influence today’s environment; however, much of the work to date has focused on the technological tools rather than the psychological and organizational dynamics that shape this set of problems.

Adam commented, “Communication and collaboration are changing faster than ever before, and it’s time humans and organizations started to catch up. I’m excited that Deep Trust Alliance is working to accelerate the development and adoption of original solutions to the critical problem of protecting the credibility of information.”

DeepTrust Alliance felt it was critical to bring Adam's unique expertise and experience in organizational psychology to this effort. Similar to problems featured in Grant’s book Originals, DeepTrust Alliance believes no single organization can resolve the misinformation epidemic and that new modes of thinking are necessary.

The recently concluded series of FixFake Symposium events in New York, Washington DC and San Francisco sparked original thinking, systematic collaboration, and nurtured creativity. With Grant’s support, the Alliance will accelerate its work-  convening community, building technical solutions and driving market wide adoption to overcome misinformation.
